What we want The Program Aide will assist in development of data structures, software development, and interoperability of two electronic medical records and a research data warehouse/data lake. This will be accomplished by facilitating interaction between an electronic medical records partner, a blockchain data management partner (BurstIQ), and TAMU IT and clinical research professionals. This is a wage position established to accommodate a temporary organizational need. As such, TAMU does not guarantee any set number of hours or length of employment in this role. Required Education and Experience Master's degree in computer science or relevant disciplines or equivalent combination of education and experience Preferred Qualifications Experience in development of data structures, software development, and interoperability of two electronic medical records and a research data warehouse/data lake. Experience in facilitating interaction between an electronic medical records partner, a blockchain data management partner (BurstIQ), and TAMU IT and clinical research professionals. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Responsibilities Precision Medicine & Medical Informatics Builds or customizes the front-end user app(s) to meet use case Deliver a high-quality, complete front-end application Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting Review and debug code Perform validation and verification testing Ensure high performance on mobile and desktop Write tested, idiomatic, and documented JavaScript, HTML and CSS Coordinate the workflow between the graphic designer, the HTML coder, and yourself Cooperate with the back-end developer in the process of building the RESTful API Communicate with external web services Conduct research and usability testing to gather insights into user needs and pain points. Collect and analyze feedback from users to improve designs. Create presentations and documentation to communicate design decisions. Why Texas A&M University?
