Workshop Instructor & Production Assistant Malibu Apothecary | Dallas, TX | Part-time, In Person | $18 to $23 per hour Do you light up a room as easily as you light a candle? Malibu Apothecary is hiring a Workshop Instructor and Production Assistant to lead our sold-out candle making and perfume making workshops and help craft the clean products our customers love! About Us Malibu Apothecary is a female-founded, clean coastal fragrance brand launched in 2019. Inspired by founder Claire Ellis' travels along the Southern California coast, our candles and fragrances transport you to the world's most beautiful beaches. A portion of every purchase supports coastal conservation: Clean Coastal Fragrances for a Cleaner Earth. The Role This is a hybrid hosting and hands-on position. When workshops are in session, you are the face of the brand, leading interactive experiences including candle making and perfume making classes (approximately 2.5 hours each) with energy and confidence. Between workshops, you support production and fulfillment in our Dallas studio.
You will:
Lead engaging workshops and guide guests through creating their own custom-scented candles and fragrances Educate attendees on our scents, processes, and brand mission Process transactions and contribute to sales goals through upselling Keep the workshop space clean, reset, and class-ready Hand-pour candles, perform quality control, and assist with packaging and order fulfillment Balance class prep, production, and admin tasks independently You Are A confident public speaker who genuinely enjoys engaging with groups Detail-oriented and organized, able to juggle multiple responsibilities A self-starter who stays productive during unstructured time Adaptable, switching seamlessly between hosting and production work Bonus points for familiarity with Canva, Google Drive, or Adobe products. Schedule Must be available Thursday through Sunday. Shifts range from 4-5 hours to 8-10 hours.
Example weekend schedule:
Friday 12pm to 6pm, Saturday 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Sunday 10:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
