Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a direct impact supporting students in a dynamic school setting as a contract paraprofessional working closely with a Resource/Inclusion student requiring dedicated 1:1 assistance. You'll provide daily support and foster a positive learning environment, working under the direction of experienced educators and in collaboration with the Senior High principal. This role is located near Denton, TX, and offers a rewarding opportunity to build relationships and help a student reach their full potential. What we're looking for: Previous experience as a paraprofessional in school settings Ability to work effectively with students who require individualized attention, particularly within Resource/Inclusion environments Excellent communication skills and a supportive, compassionate approach Flexibility and reliability, with a commitment to maintaining a positive and constructive presence throughout the school day Capacity to collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and administration Willingness to receive direction and integrate feedback to best support the student's needs Your responsibilities: Provide 1:1 assistance to a student as identified by the school's administration Assist with academic tasks, classroom activities, and behavioral supports Follow the student's Individualized Education Program (IEP) as directed by teachers and specialists Encourage independence while facilitating guidance and intervention when needed Maintain consistent communication with the classroom teacher and other support personnel Working as a contract paraprofessional in this setting enables you to make a direct, visible difference in a student's educational journey.
