Job Overview Join our vibrant Montessori school as a Toddler Teacher Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help nurture the youngest learners in their critical developmental stages. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a safe, engaging, and enriching environment tailored to toddlers' unique needs. Your positive energy and proactive approach will foster curiosity, social skills, and foundational learning through hands-on activities and compassionate care. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to early childhood development while gaining valuable classroom experience in a dynamic educational setting. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans focused on literacy, math, and social-emotional development. Support daily classroom routines including diapering, feeding, nap times, and outdoor play to ensure a safe and nurturing environment. Engage with children through interactive activities that promote early childhood education principles such as Montessori methods or other curriculum frameworks. Help manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques and behavior management strategies. Observe and document individual progress, communicating insights to teachers for tailored lesson planning and curriculum development. Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials, toys, and learning resources to ensure a hygienic environment conducive to learning. Experience Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is highly desirable. Knowledge of early childhood development theories, including familiarity with Montessori approaches. Experience supporting children with autism or other disabilities demonstrates adaptability and compassion. Classroom experience involving lesson planning, curriculum development, or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred. Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, parents, and team members to support each child's growth. Familiarity with classroom management techniques that foster a positive learning atmosphere for toddlers. Previous experience in childcare environments emphasizing toddler care, preschool activities, or working within daycare programs enhances your suitability for this role. $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
