Our classes combine dance, imagination, storytelling, music, and confidence-building in a fun, nurturing environment. We are looking for someone who truly enjoys working with young children and wants to make a positive impact each week. Position Overview We are seeking a reliable, energetic Dance Instructor Assistant to help support our dance classes during the fall and spring season. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone studying dance, musical theater, education, or child development—or anyone with experience working with children who has a love for the performing arts. The ideal candidate is kind, enthusiastic, organized, and able to jump into class with a smile! Responsibilities Assist the lead instructor during dance classes. Encourage and engage children ages 1-12 in a positive, nurturing way. Help keep classes organized, fun, and running smoothly. Demonstrate dance movements when needed. Assist with crafts, games, props, and classroom setup/cleanup. Help children transition between activities. Provide encouragement and positive reinforcement to every dancer. Occasionally assist during camps, special events, performances, and recitals. Qualifications Dance training or performance experience preferred. Passion for musical theater is a big plus! Experience working with young children (teaching, camps, babysitting, daycare, classrooms, etc.). Friendly, dependable, and patient. Comfortable being active, singing, dancing, and using lots of imagination. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work as part of a team. Must be dependable and punctual.
