On Call Substitute Assistant Teacher Needed

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and flexible On Call Substitute Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant educational team. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lessons across various subjects including literacy, math, and social-emotional skills. Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping children follow routines. Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social interaction. Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, snack time, nap time, and transitions. Help with classroom organization, including setting up materials for activities and maintaining cleanliness. Communicate effectively with children, staff, and parents to ensure a supportive learning environment. Adapt to different classroom settings such as preschool, daycare, or private school environments with flexibility. Requirements Prior experience working with young children in educational or childcare settings is preferred. Knowledge of early childhood education principles, including childhood development and behavior management techniques. Familiarity with special education strategies and working with individuals with disabilities or autism is a plus. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with staff, children, and families. Ability to adapt quickly to changing classroom needs and maintain a positive attitude under pressure. Experience with curriculum development or lesson planning is advantageous but not required. Must be reliable, punctual, and committed to providing high-quality care and education on short notice.
