Summary :
The person filling this position works under the director of Continuing Education to instruct and supervise students in the classroom, laboratory and clinical area. This job performs instructional work and must be knowledgeable in the subject area being taught. Position will know procedures to achieve a positive learning environment for students and create a favorable work environment for the Continuing Education department.
Education and Experience :
Certification/License in Veterinary Technician and one year full time wage earning experience in the related fieldOR Bachelors Degree or higher from a nationally, regionally or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education in Veterinary Technology and one year full time wage earning experience in the related field.
Knowledge Skills and Ability :
Ability to maintain an effective classroom learning atmosphere. Ability to work under precise and exacting conditions. Ability to interact effectively with the public, students, faculty and college personnel. Ability to lead and work effectively within a team. Ability to organize and disseminate information.
Essential Functions:
Teach selected courses. Write assigned syllabi Assist director in recruiting activities. Perform other duties as required or approved by the director
