Description/Notes:
The Special Education Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring that Kingsville ISD maintains fullpliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to special education services. This position supports the Director of Special Education in monitoring, implementing, and improving systems that ensure legalpliance, high-quality instruction, and equitable oues for students with disabilities. The role includes oversight of documentation, processes, and practices related to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504 (as applicable), state regulations, and district policies. The Compliance Officer also provides coordination and monitoring of evaluation timelines, ARD documentpliance, implementation of IEPs, archiving ARD documents, guidance, training, and support to campus and district staff to ensure services are delivered with fidelity and aligned to student needs and overall maintenance of the special education audit files.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Special Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field preferred. Valid Texas teaching certificate required; Special Education EC-12 certification required. Principal or other administrative certification preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 3 years of experience in special education, including experience with ARD/IEP processes andpliance. Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state special education laws and regulations, including IDEA and Texas Education Agency requirements. Experience in program monitoring,pliance re, and data analysis preferred. Strong organizational,munication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to interpret policy, provide guidance, and ensure implementation across multiple campuses.
Salary Range:
$71,646.00-$87,372.00
