SHARE PROGRAM ASSISTANT
About SHARE Sharing Hands A Respite Experience (SHARE) partners with all family members of children with special needs, supporting their efforts to establish and maintain strong and successful families. We provide free, inclusive programs that help families experience support, belonging, and joy throughout their journey. Position Summary SHARE is seeking a Program Assistant to support our Programs Team in delivering high-quality services to enrolled families. This role reports to the Program Director and focuses on program coordination, volunteer communication, event support, and administrative program operations. This is a great opportunity for someone who is organized, compassionate, energetic, and enjoys working with people in a mission-driven nonprofit setting.What You'll Do :
Assist with planning and supporting programs, including weekly respite nights, alongside program staff Coordinate Room Leaders and Nursing Staff for childcare events Maintain frequent communication with Room Leaders via text, phone calls, and emails Coordinate and host Teen Night Assist with client referrals to appropriate counseling agencies Enter new SHARE family charts into an established database (i.e., Procare) Update SHARE family charts bi-annually Update/maintain files via Sharepoint and applications Participate in weekly program meetings and monthly Quality Assurance (QA) meetings, including taking meeting notes during set meetings Attend required state meetings and/or training as needed Participate in annual fundraising events Assist with the development of the yearly calendar Professionally represent SHARE at functions as assigned, including periodically weekend and/or evening events (i.e., resource fairs, recruitment events, and community events) Exhibit a positive, professional level of relationship with enrolled families and staff Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director and/or Executive Director What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is dependable, caring, and detail-oriented, with strong communication skills and a heart for families. This person should have availability to work on periodic evenings and/or weekends as it needed during rotation.Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant university degree and/or commensurate work experience Experience working in a nonprofit is preferred, but not required Comfortable recruiting and engaging volunteers Adept communication skills, both orally and written A passion for creating community and providing support for families with special needs Exude strong empathy skills and other interpersonal skills Demonstrate strong time management skills as it pertains to time-sensitive projects Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant applications Exhibit confidence, energy, and ability to work well with others Be self-motivated and well organized, and have a strong attention to detail Willingness to work collaboratively with others, paired with leadership skills, including guiding and motivating teams, building trust, delegating responsibilities, and fostering a positive, goal-oriented culture Bilingual (preferred) Requirements Must pass a criminal background check Must have a valid state-issued driver's license Must have a flexible schedule Must be able to begin within (2) work weeks of offer Schedule & Pay Full-time, approximately 40 hours per weekNon-exempt:
