Elementary Campus (Supporting Students Grades K-5) Position Overview Overton ISD is seeking a caring, dependable, and student-focused Transition Instructional Aide to support students in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade during daily transitions throughout the school day. This position primarily assists entire classes of students as they transition to and from recess, PE classes, band, cafeteria, and other campus activities in a safe, orderly, and supportive manner. This position serves multiple grade levels on any given day and plays an important role in helping maintain a positive, structured learning environment across the elementary campus. The ideal candidate is dependable, flexible, student-focused, and enjoys building positive relationships with children of varying ages. Primary Responsibilities Assist with the supervision and safe transition of students in grades K-5 throughout the school day Support classroom teachers by helping entire classes transition to and from recess, PE, band, cafeteria, and other campus activities Foster positive student behavior and help maintain an orderly environment during transitions Build positive relationships with students while encouraging responsibility, respect, and appropriate behavior Monitor student safety in hallways, playgrounds, cafeteria, and other school settings Assist campus staff with student supervision and support as needed Provide additional support or coverage when student enrollment demands additional services or when staff absences occur Perform other duties as assigned to support campus operations and student success Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent Preferred Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with staff and students Desired Qualities Patience, flexibility, and dependability Positive attitude and strong student relationship skills Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality Genuine passion for supporting students and contributing to a positive school culture Why Work at
