Job Description

Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a 2's Assistant Teacher, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help nurture young learners during their foundational years. In this role, you will collaborate closely with lead teachers to create a warm, engaging, and supportive classroom environment tailored to the developmental needs of two-year-olds. Your energy and compassion will inspire curiosity, foster social-emotional growth, and support early literacy and numeracy skills in our youngest students. This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives while gaining valuable classroom experience in a dynamic educational setting. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans focused on early childhood development, including literacy, math, and social skills. Support children with activities that promote language development, fine and gross motor skills, and behavioral management. Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. Engage with children through play-based learning, mentoring, and individualized support to meet diverse needs, including working with children with disabilities or autism. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere. Support classroom management strategies by reinforcing routines and behavior expectations in line with best practices like Montessori or other child-centered approaches. Assist with documentation such as proofreading student work, tracking developmental progress, and preparing reports for parent-teacher conferences. Experience Prior experience working with young children in early childhood education settings or childcare environments is highly preferred. Familiarity with special education techniques and behavior management strategies tailored for toddlers. Knowledge of childhood development milestones, literacy education techniques, and basic math concepts suitable for 2-year-olds. Classroom experience in private or Montessori schools is advantageous. Strong communication skills for effective mentoring of children and collaboration with colleagues and families. Proven ability to manage classroom routines while maintaining a nurturing environment that supports individual needs. Experience working specifically with children who have disabilities or autism is a plus; training in these areas is beneficial but not required. Join us to be part of an inspiring team dedicated to fostering early childhood growth through engaging activities, compassionate mentorship, and innovative teaching methods!
