Part-time Teaching Assistant- Bilingual Spanish speaker Kumon Math and Reading Center of Houston- Grand Mission Richmond, TX Job Details Part-time $8.50 - $10.00 an hour 16 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Spanish Interpersonal skills Classroom management Basic math High school diploma or GED Working with students Teaching Full Job Description Seeking an energetic and organized individual who loves working with children to work at our Kumon Math and Reading Center. High school / College students or other candidates with excellent Math and Reading skills willing to work on Mondays and Thursdays from 3:00 to 7:30p.m. can apply soon.
Responsibilities:
Early Learner/Primary Instruction:
Work efficiently and effectively with one or two younger or new Kumon students at a time to provide instruction through utilization of the Kumon worksheets. Ensure proper study habits and work skills are being developed and train the students in center routine Individualizing strategies for student development based on student goals and communication with Instructor On-going assessment of student skills development Work closely with Instructor to develop and understand lesson plan and goals for each student in order to properly administer instruction individually
Grading:
Grading of student classwork, homework, and corrections and organizing of Student worksheets Ensuring Student classwork is completed and corrected to 100% Provide Instructor with written or verbal feedback, as needed, based on student observations and/or student performance on worksheets Work with other grading assistants to create a balanced workload to ensure grading is completed in time.
Qualifications:
Energetic and organized individuals who enjoy working with young children Positive attitude and ability to multitask in a busy environment. Able to work independently and multi-task at a quick pace. Punctuality and dependability. Proficient in Math. Min High School graduate or current student. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work 3-7 on Mondays and Thursdays.
