Company Overview Christ Lutheran Day School is a faith-based, NAEYC accredited day school dedicated to providing a nurturing and educational environment for children aged 18 months to 6 years. Summary Are you looking for a job where you can play all day? Don't mind getting messy? Ready to laugh? We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our team at Christ Lutheran Day School. In this role, you will support lead teachers in delivering engaging educational experiences that cater to the developmental needs of young children. Your contributions will be vital in creating a positive learning atmosphere that aligns with our school's mission. We teach and learn through play. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and activities. Support classroom management to create a safe and productive learning environment. Engage with students to promote their social, emotional, and cognitive development. Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities. Help maintain an organized and clean classroom space. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills. Requirements Experience working with young children in an educational setting is preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students effectively. Familiarity with curriculum development processes is a plus. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. A passion for early childhood education and nurturing children's growth. 12 college credit hours in education field or a CDA.
