POSITION SUMMARY
Provides supervision, training, direction, and performance monitoring to assigned staff of the programs of the University Transplant Center. Supports daily operational productivity by coordinating patient care activities and managing specific clinical functions as assigned by the Executive Director, the Senior Director of Transplant Operations and Medical Director(s) to facilitate high-quality, cost-effective care for the pre-transplant and living donation populations. Maintains continuity of education and evaluates multidisciplinary education for the pre-and post-transplant populations. Works with staff at all levels to optimize in-patient clinical efficiency and improve operational workflow as necessary. Recognizes problems with existing procedures and employs professional knowledge to make necessary decisions and formal changes. Promotes the Health's mission, purpose, goals, objectives and commitment to service excellence.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in nursing required (for RN leadership/Magnet). Five (5) years of related, progressively responsible healthcare experience is required. Two years in a lead capacity is required. Experience working with Organ Transplant patients is preferred.
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION
Current RN licensure in the State of Texas is required. National Certification in a related field is preferred. Must maintain CPR certification.
