Job Description

George Gervin Academy is dedicated to fostering growth, academic excellence, and accountability through passionate teamwork. Located across three campuses in the San Antoni area, we serve approximately 1,100 students from pre-kindergarten to 12th grade. Summary We are seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional to join our team at George Gervin Academy. This role is vital in supporting our mission by assisting teachers and helping students achieve their academic goals. The ideal candidate will be passionate about education and committed to making a difference in the lives of our students. Responsibilities Assist teachers in delivering instructional activities and support classroom management. Provide one-on-one or small group support to students as needed. Help develop and implement lesson plans tailored to individual student needs. Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers. Collaborate with educators to enhance curriculum delivery. Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment. Qualifications Associate's degree in Education or related field. preferred Experience working in special education or as a paraprofessional is highly desirable. Strong understanding of childhood development and working with secondary students, 6th-12th grade, education principles. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior in a constructive and positive manner Commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.

$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
