In this energetic role, you will share Jesus, support school activities, foster positive interactions, and ensure every child feels welcomed and valued. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help ignite a love for learning, play, and growth among young campers. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in childcare, education, and leadership while making a meaningful impact on children's summer experiences. Duties Assist lead counselors in planning and executing daily activities, including sports, arts and crafts, and outdoor games Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and addressing minor behavioral issues with kindness and consistency Ensure the safety of all children by monitoring activities closely, practicing proper child supervision techniques, and adhering to safety protocols such as first aid procedures Provide personalized support for children with special needs or those requiring additional attention in areas like early childhood education or behavior management Help facilitate engaging lessons or tutoring sessions that promote childhood development and learning in a fun environment Maintain open communication with children, parents, and team members to foster a welcoming community atmosphere Support camp logistics by assisting with setup, cleanup, and organization of supplies for various activities Qualifications Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, babysitting, tutoring, or camp programs is preferred Must be 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies Certification in first aid and CPR is required; willingness to obtain certification if not already certified Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and engage children of different ages Passion for working with kids and supporting their growth through educational play and recreational activities Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude Join us this summer to inspire young minds through dynamic activities, compassionate care, and energetic leadership.
