Seabrook, TX Job Details Full-time | Contract From $14 an hour 9 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Qualifications School experience Filing High school diploma or GED Working with students Classroom experience Full Job Description Foundations Christian Academy is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and Christ-centered Paraprofessional to support classroom teachers and assist students in achieving academic, social, and spiritual success. The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers to provide instructional support, supervise students, and help maintain a positive Christian learning environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Assist teachers with classroom instruction, activities, and lesson implementation. Provide one-on-one and small-group academic support to students as directed by the classroom teacher. Help maintain a safe, organized, and productive classroom environment. Supervise students during classroom activities, recess, lunch, chapel, field trips, and other school functions as assigned. Reinforce lessons and classroom expectations established by the teacher. Assist with classroom preparation, grading, copying, filing, and organizational tasks. Support students with varying academic, behavioral, and developmental needs. Encourage positive social interactions and model Christian character. Communicate effectively with teachers, administrators, students, and parents when appropriate. Maintain confidentiality regarding student information. Qualifications Personal commitment to Jesus Christ and agreement with the school's statement of faith. High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree or college coursework in education preferred. Previous experience working with children in a classroom, childcare, church, or educational setting preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff. Patience, flexibility, and a genuine love for children. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and actively supervise students throughout the school day. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally. Ability to participate in outdoor supervision duties.
