Duties Assist the lead teacher in preparing instructional materials and classroom activities. Support students with their daily tasks, ensuring they understand the curriculum and feel engaged. Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe, organized environment conducive to learning. Provide care for, infant, toddlers and young children, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met. Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement effective lesson plans tailored to individual student needs. Work with children with disabilities or special education needs, adapting activities as necessary. Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff to enhance the educational experience. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in childhood education. Requirements Experience or knowledge in Montessori methods is preferred. Background in child care is highly desirable. Familiarity with classroom management techniques and strategies for effective learning environments. Understanding of childhood development principles and practices. Ability to assist in curriculum development that meets diverse student needs. Strong communication skills and a passion for working with children of various backgrounds and abilities. Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting students' learning journeys. Proactive, engaging with children, and maintaining constant supervision are essential to ensuring their safety, growth, and well-being. By anticipating their needs, actively participating in their activities, and staying present and attentive, caregivers create a secure and nurturing environment where children can thrive, explore, and learn with confidence. CPR & First Aid preferred. Pass a background check. Stay up-to-date on required trainings and/or certifications.
