Hiring:
Assistant Toddler Teacher Butterfly Christian Preschool - Westlake Hills, TX Part-Time | Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 1:15 PM Butterfly Christian Preschool is seeking caring, dedicated, dependable candidates to join our loving, play-based, Christian early childhood program as an Assistant Toddler Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Located in the heart of Westlake Hills at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, our preschool offers a supportive, faith-filled environment that nurtures the whole child. BCPS is a part time early education program which runs on a school year calendar. Our school day operates during the hours of 9am-1pm, offering programs for children who are ages 18 months-5 years old at the start of the school year. This position is for working with children ages 18 months-23 months as of the start of the school year. About the
Role:
Teachers in our program work collaboratively as part of a highly qualified, close knit team to create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom experience. The ideal candidate for our Toddler Assistant role is reliable, dependable, and takes initiative in supporting the classroom throughout the day. This person works collaboratively under the direction of the lead teacher while also being a self-starter who notices needs and steps in to help without being asked. Candidates should enjoy engaging patiently and warmly with very young preschool and toddler-aged children and be comfortable assisting with all aspects of classroom care, including diaper changing, cleaning tables and toys, and helping maintain a safe, nurturing, and organized environment.
Key Responsibilities May Include:
Support implementation of play-based, Christian early childhood curriculum Assist with classroom preparation and cleanup Provide hands on, engaged support during daily procedures, including diaper changing Foster children's social-emotional growth and positive peer interactions Provide one-on-one and group support during activities and transitions Collaborate with the teaching team to ensure a nurturing and structured environment Communicate respectfully and professionally with children, parents, and colleagues
Qualifications:
Education in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred Minimum 2 years of experience in an early learning program preferred Confident, adaptable, patient, and passionate about early childhood education Must pass state and federal background checks and FBI fingerprinting prior to employment
