  • Summit Academy Bluffdale Campus Summit Academy Bluffdale is accepting applications for part-time Bilingual Spanish Paraprofessional.
This position will be working closely with teachers and children in a part-time capacity in our Spanish Immersion Program. Candidates' duties include, but are not limited to: Providing instructional, behavioral, and other support to students in and outside of the classroom Assist teachers in small groups with Spanish Language Arts, Math classes and other teaching duties as needed. Assist in implementing daily schedule, tracking student data, and providing behavioral supports to students. Ability to lead small groups; learn through play; communicate orally and in writing; and adhere to safety practices Demonstrate regular and prompt attendance to ensure a consistent focus on student learning. Ability to administer first aid; apply assessments; prepare and maintain accurate records. Perform other duties as assigned when needed. May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions during portions of workday.
Preferred Paraprofessional skills and qualifications:
Required
  • Spanish fluency Must consent to a background check.
High school or equivalent Candidates must meet paraprofessional standards. Excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to assist in classroom instruction and learning. Great attention to detail. Ability to work closely with children. Excellent teamwork skills. Ability to remain calm and patient at all times. Knowledge of classroom subjects. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn under the direction of a mentor Teacher. Hours/Salary Part
  • time hours: 20-23 hours per week with additional hours in August Monday
  • Friday. Varies from 7:50 am
  • 3:30 pm depending on assignment.
Salary:
