Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate part-time Para Educator to join our team. The successful candidate will assist classroom teachers in providing a positive and effective learning experience for our students. This role is essential in supporting individual student needs, facilitating small group instruction, and helping to maintain a structured classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist teachers in the delivery of instructional activities and classroom management. Support individual students and small groups with academic tasks and assignments. Assist in the preparation of educational materials and resources. Provide supervision during recess, lunch, and other school activities. Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment. Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful atmosphere in the classroom. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in education or related field preferred. Experience working with children in an educational setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in the well-being and development of students. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Basic computer skills. Must pass a background check.
Hours:
This is a part-time position, approximately 22-27 hours per week.
