PART-TIME SPED PARAPROFESSIONALS, 2026-27 SCHOOL YEAR!
Entheos Academy is a K-8 Service Learning charter school with campuses located in Kearns and Magna, Utah. This posting is for our KEARNS site. Entheos Academy is seeking part time , Special Education paraprofessionals. The job will commence mid August.
Job duties include:
Working under the direct supervision of the teacher to assist students with classroom activities. Providing assistance with individualized programmed materials. Assisting the teacher in observing, recording, and charting behavior. Carrying out instructional programs designed by the teacher. Providing special help to students in core subjects. Reinforcing learning with one on one or small group instruction. Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
Must have at least a high school diploma, and be able to pass a state sanctioned paraprofessional assessment once hired. Strong math skills. Basic tech skills. Speaking Spanish as an additional language is not required, but considered a plus.
Essential Functions Regular and Reliable Attendance:
Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality to ensure classroom and school activities are uninterrupted.
Physical Mobility:
Ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, squat, and bend for extended periods as required by teaching and classroom activities.
Terrain Navigation:
Ability to navigate various terrains (e.g., steps, uneven ground, and outdoor paths) while participating in fieldwork, excursions, or other outdoor activities with students.
Physical Endurance:
Ability to walk at least one mile during fieldwork or outdoor activities with students, including the ability to endure varied weather conditions such as heat, cold, wind, rain, or snow.
Emergency Response Capability:
Ability to move quickly, including running if necessary, to respond to student emergencies or urgent situations.
Communication Skills:
Ability to effectively communicate (speak, read, write) in English to interact with students, parents, and colleagues, and to perform essential job functions.
Other Requirements:
Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff. Ability to follow directions and learn new tasks quickly. Have a love for kids with special needs and a very positive attitude.
