Job Description

The Role As an Instructional Assistant, you serve as the "eyes and ears" of the classroom. You will support students in mastering the Kumon Method while carefully observing their habits. A critical part of this role involves documenting student performance to ensure the Lead Instructor can make informed decisions about each child's lesson plan.
Key Responsibilities:
Student Observation & Documentation:
Provide detailed, concise written notes to the instructor regarding student progress, focus levels, and areas of struggle.
Instructional Support:
Guide students to adhere to Kumon procedures and encourage self-learning habits.
Assessment & Prep:
Accurately grade and prepare student classwork and homework.
Feedback:
Deliver immediate, encouraging feedback to students during their session.
Customer Service:
Exemplify strong service to provide an excellent experience for students and parents during arrival and departure.
Center Operations:
Maintain a clean, professional workspace and keep your designated area organized to ensure an efficient environment for learning.
Basic Qualifications Academic Proficiency:
Strong proficiency in high school Math and/or English.
Observational Skills:
Ability to monitor student behavior and translate those observations into helpful written feedback for the Instructor.
Professionalism:
Honest, with a commitment to regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
Communication:
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Organization:
Naturally organized with a proactive approach to keeping a workspace tidy.
Growth Mindset:
A quick learner who is passionate about helping children succeed.
Job Type:
Part-time Pay:
$12.00 - $15.00 per hour
