2026-2027 School Year Applicant must be highly qualified. This would include one of the following: Associate's degree or higher from an accredited college/university; or 48 semester hours from an accredited college/university; or Pass the ParaPro Assessment Must complete Basic Training (5 hours) provided by JSD Special Education Department. Training must be completed within one week of hire as a condition of employment. Additional training is available through the Special Education department allowing the employee to increase to lane 4 upon completion.
