GENERAL DEFINITION OF WORK
Performs responsible para-professional, clerical and human support work assisting in student management of in school suspensions; does related work as required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Supervise students during in school suspension to include collecting assignments, reviewing assignments, answering questions, providing encouragement; Supervise ISS students during break and lunch period; Complete ISS student assignment sheets and distribute some; Collect, arrange and make ISS assignments according to each student; Records attendance and makes appropriate reports; Review and enforce ISS rules; Enter student data on computer database; Perform clerical duties to support submitting quarterly reports; Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
General knowledge of student instruction and management practices, procedures and techniques; general knowledge of school system rules and procedures for classroom, halls, cafeteria, library and transportation; general knowledge of subject areas in class levels to which assigned; ability to guide, direct, teach, and control students; ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, parents, teachers, principals and other school personnel; ability to type basic records; ability to operate audio-visual equipment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school including clerical training.

Will be evaluated on the ability and effectiveness to carry out the responsibilities as outlined. PG 7
