Aug 3, 2026 Job Description Smith Station Elementary School, home of the Sharks, is seeking a skilled Office Paraeducator to join our growing school division as we begin a new academic year! This position will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities, enhancing organizational efficiency, and contributing to a productive learning environment for students.

Essential Job Functions:

Greets incoming personnel, to include the check-in/out procedures of students, parents and other visitors. Performs routine clerical duties such as copying, typing, answering/making telephone calls, taking attendance, ordering supplies, and basic troubleshooting. Generates reports on student attendance, creates letters to parents regarding student absences. Creates and maintains the student attendance database and student records. Prepares homework requests per student absences. Sorts and distributes all interoffice/postal mail as necessary. Works in areas other than the classroom, i.e., computer lab or library, as appropriate Performs additional non-instructional duties including, but not limited to, cafeteria duty, bus duty, hall duty, and office duty as assigned by the principal or designee Requests transportation for students as needed. Education and Experience:

Required High School Diploma or GED A minimum of two (2) years working with children within an instructional, educational or related setting

Employment Terms:

Employment may be offered as a 10-Month (185 Day) contract, at a minimum of 7.5 hours worked per day. This position is evaluated annually.
