Aug 3, 2026 Job Description Spotsylvania County Public Schools is seeking student-focused, dedicated Paraeducators to assist teachers and other professional practitioners by providing instructional support to further enhance the efficiency and productivity of educational environments. This role will provide support in Health and Physical Education (PE) classrooms.

Essential Job Functions:

Assists students with the organization and completion of daily work assignments Assists with evaluating and testing students Works with small groups of students in various subject areas Follows established procedures for monitoring student behavior when supervising small or large groups Monitors students whereabouts and observe student safety Performs routine clerical duties such as copying, typing, answering/making telephone calls, and basic troubleshooting Performs additional non-instructional duties including, but not limited to, cafeteria duty, bus duty, hall duty, and office duty Click here to read the full Job Description for this role.

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or GED A minimum of two (2) years working with children within an instructional, educational or related setting

Employment Terms:

Employment may be offered as a 10-Month (185 Day) contract, at a minimum of 7.5 hours worked per day. This position is evaluated annually.
