SUPERVISOR
Principal
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
10 months Under the direction of a certified classroom teacher and/or school administrator, paraprofessionals supplement student education and assist with instruction, behavior management, and/or administrative duties. They support the physical, behavioral, and academic needs of a group of students.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum high school diploma/GED or higher. Has met all requirements for designation of "Highly Qualified" status Complete two years of study at an institution of higher education; or Obtain an associate's (or higher) degree; or Meet a rigorous standard of quality and be able to demonstrate, through a formal state or local academic assessment, knowledge of and the ability to assist in instructing, reading, writing, and mathematics Experience preferred. CPR, AED, and First Aide certification preferred.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Serves as a paraprofessional with direct supervision of students. Demonstrate professionalism through prompt and regular attendance as well as appropriate attire. Compiles, maintains and submits all required records. Communicate concerns regarding academics and behavior in a timely manner. Adhere to deadlines.
PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling.
