Job Description
Skyline CAP is seeking a Preschool Teacher Assistant for our Head Start program located in Madison County. Our Head Start program provides a quality preschool experience for at-risk 3-4-year-old children. Our ideal candidate would have similar experience ready to hit the ground running. Do you love working with children? Maybe you've volunteered to provide childcare or did some babysitting for family and friends. Let's talk - you may be exactly who we're looking for to complement our existing teaching staff. You'll work with our classroom teacher and participate in on-going training in various areas to enhance your knowledge, skills and performance. This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week for approximately 37 weeks per year. We operate on a public-school calendar and are closed during the summer months. Our preferred candidate will have at least an associate degree or CDA. We will consider those with experience who are willing to obtain the CDA, during your work hours. This position is Monday-Friday daytime hours. No evening or weekend hours. Our benefits include health, dental, life and long-term disability insurance, paid holidays, sick leave, personal leave and retirement contribution. Hourly rate is $18.38 to $18.93 depending on education.
