Summary:
The Teacher's Assistant is to assist the teacher in providing a warm and nurturing environment in which the child can grow physically, emotionally, socially, and intellectually. To help implement planned activities geared to the developmental needs of a particular group of children and to channel productively the interest and energies of these children. To be aware of and attend to the needs of individual children. To work closely with classroom teacher to implement daily planned classroom activities. To maintain a clean, organized, healthy, and safe classroom environment.Requirements:
Any combination of training/experience that will allow the caregiver to perform the above requirements. Must possess a clear, working understanding of Developmentally Appropriate Practice of Early Childhood. A high school degree or equivalent is required. A Child Development Associate certificate is preferred. Must be 18 years of age or older. Must be willing to receive training that the appropriate state's Grading System requires to maintain this position.Licenses and Certifications:
BLS Certification or Heart Saver/CPR requiredWork Requirements:
