Job Description

Inspire young minds, support independent learning, and begin your journey toward becoming a Montessori-certified teacher. Position Summary We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Assistant Teacher who is passionate about early childhood education and interested in pursuing Montessori teacher certification. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, supports a nurturing learning environment, and is eager to grow professionally within the Montessori philosophy. Key Responsibilities Assist the lead teacher in preparing and maintaining a safe, organized, and engaging classroom environment. Support children's academic, social, emotional, and physical development. Observe and guide children respectfully while encouraging independence and self-confidence. Help prepare Montessori materials and learning activities. Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and transitions. Maintain open, positive communication with teachers, families, and staff. Follow school policies, health and safety procedures, and Montessori classroom practices. Participate in professional development and Montessori training opportunities. Qualifications High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field preferred. Experience working with young children in a school, daycare, or childcare setting preferred. Genuine interest in Montessori education and a desire to obtain Montessori certification.
