Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Teacher to support the education and development of 3-year-old children in our early childhood education program. This role involves working closely with lead teachers to create a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment that promotes growth and learning for young children. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, experience in early childhood settings, and a strong understanding of childhood development principles. Duties Assist in implementing daily lesson plans and educational activities tailored to 3-year-olds Support classroom management and behavior guidance strategies to foster positive social interactions Help supervise children during playtime, meals, nap times, and outdoor activities Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment in accordance with health and safety standards Provide basic caregiving tasks such as potty, feeding, and comforting children as needed Communicating with families using Brightwheel Helping in other classrooms when needed Participate in ongoing training related to childhood development, first aid, and special education techniques Experience Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is preferred Knowledge of childhood development stages and age-appropriate activities for toddlers Experience with classroom management, behavior management, and caregiving routines Certification in first aid or CPR is desirable but not required; willingness to obtain certification is expected Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children and team members in a childcare environment This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young children's lives while developing your skills in early childhood education.
