Preschool assistant teacher- Full time

Responsibilities:

Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for preschool-aged children. Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow. Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play and structured activities. Manage classroom behavior and promote positive discipline techniques. Collaborate with parents to support each child's individual needs and development. Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the classroom and materials. Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities. Assist the teacher in the supervision of the children, preparation of materials, and observation of individual children. The teacher's assistant activities each day will be at the discretion of the lead teacher; Handle set up at beginning of day or final clean up at the end; Alert the Director(s) when supplies are running low or when toys or equipment are in need of repair; Eat meals and converse with children; and assist as needed. Nap Nannie (when scheduled); Assist with cots; Attend Chapel as directed

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with preschool-aged children in a daycare or preschool setting.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices.
• Strong ability to follow through with engaging lesson plans and implement age-appropriate curriculum.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement techniques.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team of teachers and staff members.
