Description Help young runners go the distance! As a Youth Running Club Program Aide, you'll support program activities, encourage participants ages 7-14, and help create a fun, safe, and inclusive environment that promotes fitness, teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy habits.
What You'll Do:
As a Program Aide, you will: Assists the Running Coach in implementing practices, drills, games, and program activities. Helps supervise participants before, during, and after practices and events. Assists with participant check-in, attendance tracking, and dismissal procedures. Provides encouragement and support to participants while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and inclusion. Assists with the setup, breakdown, transportation, and storage of equipment and supplies. Monitors participants during activities and promptly reports injuries, incidents, behavioral concerns, or safety issues to the Coach or Program Supervisor. Helps maintain a safe and organized program environment. Communicates professionally with participants, parents/guardians, and County staff. Assists during special events, races, and program activities as assigned. Performs other related duties as assigned. What We're Looking For:
Must be at least 16 years old Experience working with youth, recreation programs, camps, athletics, or community programs preferred Participation in running, track and field, cross-country, or other athletic activities is desirable but not required CPR and First Aid certification are preferred and may be required within a specified period after hire. Supplemental Information Physical Demands:
Ability to observe participant activities and respond appropriately in emergency situations. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment weighing up to 25 pounds. Ability to walk, jog, and remain active for extended periods during program activities. Environmental Conditions:
Work is primarily performed outdoors and may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, including heat, humidity, cold temperatures, rain, uneven terrain, insects, and moderate noise levels.
