Jul 6, 2026 Job Description The Essex Westford School District has an opening for a summer seasonal Mainstream Teaching Assistant at Essex High School (grades 9-12). Our Summer ESY Program is designed to support students with developmental disabilities by maintaining essential academic, communication, and functional skills. This structured and engaging program helps prevent skill regression over the summer break while providing a supportive and individualized learning environment.

Schedule:

July 6 to August 6, Monday-Thursday 8:30am to 12:30pm Starting pay for this position is $27/hour. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Facilitate social and inclusive interactions among the student and their peers in the regular student environment. Supervise student(s) when the teacher is absent from the room. Support assigned students with their classroom work in a separate learning environment temporarily as needed or requested. Manage student learning material and maintain a student performance record through data collection daily as necessary or requested.
