We're seeking a Full-Time Special Education Paraeducator to join our dynamic Grades 5-6 team. In this role, you'll support students individually and in small groups as they develop foundational academic, social, and daily living skills. You'll be part of a vibrant, inclusive learning environment where every child is seen, supported, and celebrated.
What You'll Do
Support students one-on-one and in small groups who benefit from additional guidance
Assist with classroom instruction, daily routines, and transition times
Participate in play-based and experiential learning opportunities
Collaborate closely with special educators, therapists, and general educators
Help foster communication skills, independence, and school readiness
Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
Supervise students across school settings and during community-based activities
Assist with behavior support plans and data collection (training provided!)
Share observations and feedback during team meetings
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Experience working with children preferred
Ability to support young learners with empathy, enthusiasm, and consistency
Comfort with basic technology; Google Workspace experience is a plus
Willingness to learn and engage in ongoing professional development
