Champlain Valley School District The Champlain Valley School District (CVSD) is seeking dedicated and adaptable individuals to join our educational team as Substitute Teachers and Substitute Paraeducators. These roles are essential for maintaining a positive learning environment and ensuring student success in the absence of regular staff. This is a flexible, as-needed position, offering you the opportunity to choose assignments that fit your personal schedule while supporting our schools. Primary Responsibilities Deliver instruction by following lesson plans and schedules prepared by the absent teacher. Maintain classroom routines and procedures to ensure a stable learning environment for students. Oversee student behavior in the classroom and during non-instructional periods such as lunch or recess. Provide academic support to students individually or in small group settings. Collaborate with school leadership by reporting to the principal upon arrival and providing a written summary of the day's activities. Support school operations by assisting in the library, media lab, or performing basic clerical duties when not assigned to a specific classroom. The Ideal Candidate Will Possess A passion for education and a commitment to fostering the academic growth of all students. Strong communication skills and the ability to interact respectfully with students, faculty, and parents. Adaptability to manage diverse classroom dynamics and solve practical problems effectively. Ability to follow instructions in written, oral, or diagram form, including the interpretation of lesson plans and safety rules. Technical proficiency with word processing programs and databases is desirable.

Requirement:
