Williston Central School This position will remain open until filled. However, applications received within the first seven days of posting will receive priority consideration. Williston Central School (WCS) is seeking an energetic and caring Non-Intensive Paraeducator (1.0 FTE) to join our school team. Please note that 0.5 FTE of this position will support our general education team. The other 0.5 FTE of this position will support our pecial education team. We are looking for skilled individuals to provide vital support in the areas of multi-layered curriculum, communication, and activities of daily living across all school settings. This position is essential to our mission of fostering student growth and independence. The successful candidate will be a strong advocate for inclusive education and a positive contributor to our collaborative school community. Primary Responsibilities Providing direct support to students in the areas of curriculum overlap and multi-layered instruction. Facilitating effective communication and behavioral support across various school environments. Assisting students with activities of daily living to ensure full access to their educational experience. Promoting child growth by fostering independence and self-advocacy. Thriving within a teaming environment, working collaboratively with special education and classroom teachers. Maintaining a flexible and creative approach to problem-solving to meet diverse student needs. Demonstrating a consistent willingness to learn and implement new instructional or behavioral strategies. The Ideal Candidate Will Possess A deep commitment to equitable and inclusive instructional practices. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong rapport with students. Demonstrated strength in working as a collaborative team member. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. The physical ability to meet the requirements of the position, which may include lifting. An innovative spirit and a passion for supporting the success of all learners. Paraeducators are contracted for 6.5 hours per day for 194 school days. Please note that lifting may be a requirement of this position.
