Right now, we are looking for an assistant teacher that has great enthusiasm, patience, and a caring, kind heart. He/she will collaborate with the lead teacher and lead the class in all ways.
Responsibilities:
Help teach a class of 12 student Work a full-time schedule (40 hours a week) Help plan and teach daily activities and lessons that correspond with the curriculum Help promote multi-cultural education Maintain a safe and healthy environment Help students learn classroom rules and procedures, as well as personal responsibility and respect for fellow students Use appropriate behavior management and classroom discipline Attend to children's basic needs which might including: feeding them, dressing them, etc Supervise class projects, field trips and visits by guest teachers Establish consistent communication with parents and children Write weekly class and individual student updates to parents
Qualifications Experience:
childcare: 1 year (Preferred) relevant: 3 years (Preferred) Personal Must be at least 18 years old Must have ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience Must have CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain Must have impeccable references and a proven track record of caring and nurturing children Must have excellent organizational skills This Company Describes Its Culture as: Team-oriented•cooperative and collaborative
