Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by working as a Paraprofessional Behavior Aide. This rewarding contract opportunity places you in a supportive school environment near Everett, WA, where you'll assist educators and empower students in their daily learning and social development. Your primary role will center on supporting students with behavioral and academic needs, fostering an inclusive classroom atmosphere. As a vital collaborator with teachers and specialists, you'll help implement individualized strategies that encourage positive behavior and student success.
Qualifications and Experience:
Experience as a paraprofessional or classroom aide, particularly within school settings Familiarity with behavior intervention techniques and willingness to learn new methods Compassion, patience, and clear communication with students and staff Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team Adaptability to varying classroom environments and student needs High school diploma or GED required; additional coursework or certifications a plus
Key Responsibilities:
Support students individually or in small groups by promoting positive behavior and engagement Assist in implementing behavior intervention plans and academic strategies Monitor and document student progress, reporting observations to educators Help maintain a respectful, safe, and nurturing classroom atmosphere Supervise students during activities, transitions, and breaks Contribute ideas and feedback for continuous improvement of support strategies This contract role offers you the chance to make a direct difference in students' lives throughout the school year and beyond.
