Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Teacher to join our early childhood education team, focusing on infants, toddlers, and twos. In this vital role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for young children. Your energy and enthusiasm will help foster a love of learning while ensuring each child's safety, well-being, and individual growth. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans that promote early literacy, math skills, social-emotional growth, and motor development. Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment conducive to active learning. Engage with children through age-appropriate activities that encourage curiosity, exploration, and independence. Observe and document individual progress, communicating effectively with team members about each child's needs and achievements. Foster positive behavior management strategies that support social skills and emotional regulation. Collaborate with colleagues to plan special projects or events aligned with developmental milestones. Communicate clearly with parents or guardians about their child's daily experiences and developmental progress. Qualifications Prior classroom experience working with infants, toddlers, or young children in early childhood education settings. Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices for working with children with disabilities or special needs. Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members. Experience with literacy education, math activities, Montessori methods or similar educational philosophies is a plus. Ability to work compassionately with children who have autism or other developmental differences.
