Job Description

Kennewick Christian School is a well-established childcare facility that has been laying foundations for young children for over 50 years. We are passionate about creating an environment that meets todays needs and future needs of the families we serve. We are looking for a compassionate, patient, and reliable individual to fill our Assistant Teacher position at Kennewick Christian School. In this role, you will assist in planning, preparing materials, and implementing a variety of materials and resources to promote physical, mental, and social development for youth aged 1-11. To be successful in this role, you should enjoy working with children, strive to create a fun and safe environment while helping kids build confidence and skills.
Responsibilities:
Assist lead teacher with implementing educational activities. Help children with learning activities and assignments. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment. Communicate with parents about child development and daily activities. Supervise children during meals and nap times. Redirect inappropriate behaviors and reinforce positive behaviors. Sanitize toys, furnishing, and play areas daily to maintain cleanliness. Participate in ongoing training and professional development programs. Adhere to all daycare safety regulations and standards.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience working with children preferred. Must be energetic, enthusiastic, flexible, dependable, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment Must be able to pass a background check

From $17.50 per hour
