Childcare support staff teacher Family Circle Too Kent, WA Job Details Full-time $17 - $20 an hour 6 hours ago Qualifications School experience CPR Certification Working with individuals with disabilities First Aid Certification Cleaning Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Childcare Support Staff Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will provide nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate care for young children in a preschool or daycare setting. Your enthusiasm for working with children will help foster a positive learning environment that promotes growth, curiosity, and social-emotional development. You will support classroom activities, assist with daily routines, and ensure each child's safety and well-being are prioritized at all times. The position is Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum plans that stimulate learning and creativity. Support children during activities such as playtime, snack time, nap time, and educational exercises. Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment conducive to early childhood development. Observe and document children's progress, behaviors, and developmental milestones to inform future planning. Provide attentive supervision to ensure the safety of children during all activities and transitions. Support children with special needs or disabilities by implementing individualized care strategies and behavior management techniques. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's daily experiences, progress, and any concerns. Experience Prior experience working with young children in a preschool, daycare, nannying, babysitting, or similar caregiving role. Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education. Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable. Classroom experience managing groups of children in a structured setting. Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred but not required; willingness to obtain certification is appreciated. Familiarity with behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies to foster positive behavior.
