In this role, you will support the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment. Your work will help foster children's growth in social, emotional, and early learning skills while supporting our Mandarin-English bilingual program. This is a wonderful opportunity to make a positive impact on young children while working within a collaborative and supportive team. Key Responsibilities Support the Lead Teacher in implementing curriculum and daily activities Assist with lesson preparation and provide one-on-one or small group support Support Mandarin-English language development through songs, stories, conversations, and classroom routines Help create a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment Promote children's development across social, emotional, physical, and cognitive areas Model positive behavior and guide children in daily routines and social skills Communicate respectfully with families and support strong parent partnerships Follow Washington State licensing requirements and maintain CPR/First Aid certification Assist with record-keeping, classroom organization, and daily operations Qualifications CDA (Child Development Associate) or equivalent (preferred) WA State ECE Stackable Certificate or related coursework Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred) 1-3 years of experience in a licensed childcare setting (preferred) Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Ability to lift children and work both indoors and outdoors Mandarin-English bilingual proficiency preferred; fluent Mandarin speakers are strongly encouraged to apply Ideal Qualities Passion for early childhood education Patience, warmth, and strong communication skills Appreciation for multicultural and bilingual learning environments Team-oriented and collaborative mindset Flexible, dependable, and eager to learn Committed to supporting children's confidence, independence, and growth Benefits Paid holidays and PTO Professional development opportunities Supportive team environment Opportunities for growth and advancement
