This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to support classroom activities, implement engaging curricula, and collaborate with experienced educators to promote early childhood development. Ideal candidates are passionate about working with children, eager to contribute to special education initiatives, and committed to creating positive learning experiences for diverse learners. Duties Assist lead teachers in planning and executing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and social-emotional learning. Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and implementing behavior management strategies tailored to individual student needs. Engage with children through interactive activities, fostering social skills, independence, and curiosity in a safe environment. Help adapt instructional materials and activities for students with disabilities, including those with autism or developmental disabilities, ensuring accessibility and engagement. Support the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) by assisting in tracking progress and facilitating accommodations. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment conducive to learning and safety. Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and team members regarding student progress and classroom updates. Skills Demonstrated experience in early childhood education or preschool settings, preferably within private or Montessori schools. Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in literacy education, math instruction, and classroom management. Familiarity with special education techniques, including working with students with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder. Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is a plus for supporting communication needs. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and students. Experience in lesson planning, curriculum development, and adapting activities for diverse learners. Ability to manage behavior positively while maintaining a calm and encouraging classroom atmosphere.
