Hours / Work Times 4 Hours Per Day (10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.) 190 Days Per Year (180 student days / 10 holidays) This position will remain open until a qualified applicant is selected. The earliest date a recommendation for hire may be submitted is after 06/11/26.
A valid First Aid/CPR card must be submitted to Classified Personnel within 45 days of hire. Only courses with a "hands-on" component taught by a certified instructor are acceptable.
This position is expected to begin August 24, 2026
Must meet Paraeducator Employment Requirements as follows•:
Be at least eighteen (18) years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent; AND
Must meet one or more of the following:
Have received a passing score of 455 or higher on the Education Testing Service ParaPro Assessment (ETS test/PRAXIS); or
Hold an Associate Degree or higher from an accredited college or university; or
Have earned 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at 100 level or higher at an accredited college or university; or
Have completed a Paraeducator Apprenticeship Program (program must be registered with the Washington State Apprenticeship and Training Council).
•If you do not meet the required qualifications listed above, your name will be screened out from the list of qualified candidates.
Upon hire, new paraeducators will be required to complete state required training offered through Evergreen School District.

Salary Placement:
New employees will start at the minimum hourly rate in the classification salary range. However, employees who have verified prior years of service of similar occupational experience may receive experience credit towards salary step placement.

SUMMARY STATEMENT
Under the supervision of the Director of College, Career, and Technical Education (CCTE) and the program instructor, this position is responsible for assisting in the supervision of students on an individual and small group basis. The instructional assistant will assist in the daily operation of the school's credit union, help students with technical teller training, organize and assemble instructional materials, assist in the instructor in the evaluation of teller work, and student performance, and support leadership activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist the program instructor by supervising and working with students as follows:
Communicate effectively with students, staff, parents, and the general public
Oversee operation of the Credit Union and students performing as bank tellers
Assist with the daily operation of the school credit union
Assist in providing one-on-one and group instruction to students
Assist in organizing and preparing a variety of instructional materials
Assist in evaluating and specifying direction of instruction so as to maximize each student's potential
Assist in administering and scoring formal and informal tests
Maintain accurate data on student progress
Implement behavioral management strategies using the emphasis and techniques that have been outlined by the instructor
Perform inventory process and other year-end activities
Attend various training sessions as required
Assist in establishing and maintaining a positive learning environment
Assist in organizing and preparing a variety of instructional materials
Maintain relationship with iQ Credit Union administration, and transport paperwork as needed
Perform First Aid/CPR when necessary

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT NECESSARY
Desktop computer, copy machines, telephone, related computer software and other all other equipment and program knowledge necessary to perform the essential functions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of two years experience as a bank teller supervisor required, with operational background preferred.
Experience operating an on-line or off-line banking system, including teller error location and correction.
Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to adhere to banking laws.
Teller training experience.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, parents, and the general public.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse groups, to include high school students, customers, bank employees, staff, and vendors.
Must possess personal characteristics of flexibility, initiative, cooperation, and confidentiality.
Demonstrated ability to perform under conditions of constant interruption.
Must possess organizational skills and the ability to follow through.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate lab activities for students with limited supervision.
Must possess current First Aid/CPR certification, or be able to acquire within 30 days.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with others as part of a team.
