Job Description

Job Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Daycare Lead or Assistant Teacher, where your enthusiasm and dedication will inspire young minds and foster a nurturing learning environment. In this role, you will engage with children across various age groups, implement developmentally appropriate activities, and support their social, emotional, and cognitive growth. Whether leading a classroom or assisting in daily operations, your positive energy and commitment will help create a safe, stimulating space for children to thrive. Hours could be four days per week with a set day off each week to allow for family time and appointments. Pay will be based on education and experience with higher wages for applicants with an Associates Degree in Early Childhood or Bachelor's Degree in Education or other child related fields. Duties Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans that promote early childhood development, literacy education, and social skills. Foster a warm and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management. Support children's physical activities through teaching physical education and facilitating age-appropriate play. Assist in classroom management by organizing materials, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. Collaborate with families to communicate progress, address concerns, and support children's welfare and special needs. Conduct assessments aligned with standardized testing standards to monitor developmental milestones and tailor instruction accordingly. Participate in ongoing training related to early intervention, Montessori methods, or special education to enhance teaching effectiveness. Experience Prior experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or similar early childhood setting is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and classroom management techniques. Experience with curriculum development that includes literacy education, math instruction, and lesson planning for diverse learners. Familiarity with special education practices and early intervention strategies is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members. Previous involvement in private school environments or Montessori programs is advantageous. Certification or coursework in early childhood education or related fields is highly desirable. Pay:
$12.00 - $18.00 per hour
