If so, this may be the opportunity for you. We are a non-profit vocational training center that has been serving the community for over 50 years providing education, training and jobs to people with disabilities and other challenges. Description The Work Services Associate is a para-professional position. The staff serving in this position is engaged in all support tasks and activities included in the Work Services department. Staff in this position work in coordination with Prevocational Instructors in providing supervision, training, documentation, area coverage, and quality control for clients assigned to production areas. The Work Services Associate is directly supervised by the Work Services Manager Part-Time Position, Monday thru Friday, 8:00 am to 2:15 pm Paid holidays off and generous paid time off package. Core Functions
  • Provide production area coverage to Instructors during absences and vacations
  • Assists supervisory staff in assessing client work skills and individual performance
  • Maintains accurate production records for clients in their work areas
  • Prepares weekly production report when covering for a Instructor
  • Participates in staff and client meetings as requested
  • Maintains production inventory and supplies while working in a production area. Reports all equipment malfunctions to Work Services Manager.
  • Follows and maintains all directives regarding quality control procedures for production inventory.
  • Maintains a clean, and well-organized work environment that provides a safe workplace for the clients.
  • Assists with set-up of work areas for current and new jobs or projects as directed by the Work Services Manager or Bakery Manager.
  • Responsible for all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Operations Director.
Qualifications To perform this job satisfactorily, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Language Skills Ability to read English in order to interpret documents such as technical procedures, professional journals, and procedure manuals. Ability to write plans, reports, and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from staff, clients, customers, and the general public both in oral and written form. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent to draw and interpret graphic data. Computer Skills Computers are used daily and applicant must have the ability to perform basic computer skills with proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft Word. Education and Experience Associate Degree, or evidence of equivalent basic skills in related area is required. Previous work experience in a human services or non-profit setting is preferred. Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations Must maintain a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
