The Role Responsibilities You will work closely with both the classroom teacher and special education teacher to help implement individualized education programs (IEPs), providing academic, behavioral, and emotional support that meets the unique needs of each student. Your support will extend to students with disabilities in a variety of areas, which may include accessing the general education curriculum, assisting with toileting, feeding, mobility, or helping students use assistive technology. In addition to academic assistance, you will play an important role in promoting student independence, encouraging social development, and building self-confidence, all while maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment. Strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to remain calm and supportive under pressure are essential for success in this role. Your contribution is vital in helping to close learning gaps and ensuring that every student has the opportunity to thrive—no matter their academic level or individual challenges. Role Requirements As the ideal candidate, you will have an Associate's degree or post-secondary courses in a field related to the role responsibilities. You can easily adapt to shifting priorities along with superior analytical and numerical reasoning skills. Understanding budget concepts, purchasing processes and excellent information management skills will be keys to your success. In this role you will rely on your superior communication skills including grammar and proofreading, problem solving, and superb ability to organize and maintain a steady workflow to get the job done!
