Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant educational team. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for young children. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster a love of learning, promote social-emotional growth, and support the overall development of children in our care. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on early childhood education while gaining valuable classroom experience. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and early childhood education principles. Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping children develop social skills through effective behavior management strategies. Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, emotional, and physical development, including toddler care and preschool activities. Help create an inclusive environment by working with children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder. Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment by following health and safety protocols and assisting with routine childcare duties. Support individualized learning by working closely with children on literacy education, curriculum development, and other educational goals. Communicate regularly with parents and team members to share updates on children's progress and developmental milestones. Experience Prior classroom experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is preferred. Knowledge of childhood development theories and early childhood education best practices is highly desirable. Experience working with children with special needs or disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder, is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and engage with families. Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior positively and constructively. Previous experience in lesson planning, curriculum development, or literacy education will be advantageous. Join us to inspire young minds and support their journey of discovery!
